Cameron Barney advises Tiger Infrastructure Partners on the merger of SWS Broadband and Cadence Networks with Voneus Broadband

Cameron Barney LLP is pleased to announce that it acted as financial adviser to Tiger Infrastructure Partners on the merger of SWS Broadband and Cadence Networks with Voneus Broadband, which simultaneously acquired Broadway Partners Limited. SWS Broadband and Cadence Networks are the operational subsidiaries of Tiger’s portfolio company, Rural Broadband Solutions.
As a result, Tiger has become a substantial shareholder in Voneus alongside Macquarie Group and Israel Infrastructure Fund. The merger will be funded with up to £250 million in new capital from the three shareholders and bank lenders. These developments put Voneus in a strong position to continue building fibre networks to underserved rural communities across the UK. The combined company is targeting over 350,000 premises.
Each of SWS Broadband, Cadence Networks and Broadway Partners already operate in areas adjacent to where Voneus is active. The combination of these businesses within Voneus will deliver significant economies of scale and bring more diverse contractor relationships. It also pools the resources of several already well-funded institutional shareholders.
